The Mixologist is a cocktail and wine bar in the heart of Nottingham, occupying a first-floor space within the Cornerhouse leisure complex on Burton Street, close to the city's Theatre Royal and the Victoria Centre. With ambient lighting and stylish, contemporary interiors, it has carved out a reputation as a go-to spot for inventive cocktails and a lively social atmosphere in the city centre. Drinks are at the centre of the experience, as the venue's name suggests, with skilled bartenders mixing an extensive menu of creative cocktails alongside wines and beers. For guests seeking a more premium night, bottle service and VIP booth bookings are available, while the bar also offers food and bottomless brunches, broadening its appeal beyond purely late-night drinking. Music and entertainment play a strong supporting role, with resident DJs performing every weekend across genres such as R&B, house and deep house. The venue regularly hosts themed events, from R&B day parties to its popular music bingo nights spanning reggae, soul and UK garage, giving its calendar a varied, party-led character that keeps a steady stream of events running through the week. Flexibility is a key part of the offering, with the bar available for private hire for occasions ranging from milestone birthdays to university society events and other celebrations. Beyond its fixed home, the Mixologist also operates as a mobile cocktail service, taking its bartenders and drinks out to external events, weddings and parties across the area for a tailored cocktail experience. By combining a strong cocktail and wine focus with weekend DJs, themed parties and flexible private hire, the Mixologist offers a versatile night out in central Nottingham.
