Three restored Victorian railway arches near Cannon Street station form the home of the Steel Yard, a large nightclub and flexible events space in the City of London. With a capacity of more than a thousand across its vaulted brick-and-iron spaces, it became one of the first venues in the capital to obtain a 6am licence when it opened in 2015, quickly establishing itself within London's underground music scene. The arches carry a deep history. Behind the scenes, the venue runs a next-generation line-array sound system, extensive lighting and a scalable LED video wall, supported by an in-house production team and careful acoustic modelling. The arches can be hired together or independently, with a balcony level able to serve as a cloakroom or catering kitchen, making the space adaptable for conferences, launches and immersive productions as well as club nights. By fusing a historic City location, a high-capacity warehouse layout and serious production, the Steel Yard has become a fixture of London's club and events circuit. Its blend of underground music heritage and flexible hire appeal allows it to move between heavyweight dance nights and large-scale corporate events with ease.
