Carved into two former railway tunnels beneath the streets of Aberdeen, the Tunnels has spent more than two decades as one of the north-east of Scotland's most respected grassroots live music venues. Reached by a step-free entrance on Carnegie's Brae in the city centre, a short walk from Union Street and the railway station, its two arch rooms each hold around 300 people and pair exposed brick with a punchy sound system and focused lighting. First and foremost a live venue, the Tunnels has hosted thousands of shows across rock, alternative, metal, indie, electronic and hip-hop.
