Known for years as SWX and, before that, the Syndicate, the Nelson Street venue in central Bristol was relaunched as Electric Bristol in April 2025 under Electric Group, the operator behind Electric Brixton and NX Newcastle. The rebrand brought major investment in stage production while preserving the building's distinctive ballroom layout and long-standing reputation for live music. The main room is an eighteen-hundred-capacity ballroom praised for its sightlines and acoustics, equipped with a state-of-the-art sound and lighting rig.
