Forum Digbeth

When Forum Birmingham was forced to close in April 2025 after six decades on its city-centre site, the team behind it moved quickly to secure a new home in the Digbeth creative quarter. The result, Forum Digbeth, occupies a vast warehouse on Glover Street that previously housed the Roller Jam roller-disco, reopening with a soft launch in May 2025 and the celebrated d&b Audiotechnik sound system carried over from the old venue. Describing itself as a space forged from the shell of an old foundry, the venue leans hard into Digbeth's industrial character, with a stripped-back, warehouse aesthetic, modular layout and adaptive production design. Its flexibility allows it to switch between full-scale live concerts, club nights and creative events, and a phased expansion has been pushing its capacity from around two thousand towards four thousand. The programme spans the breadth of the modern live and electronic scene, with past and announced names including Chase and Status, Bicep, Andy C, Sub Focus, Nia Archives, Central Cee, Sean Paul and the Pixies. From grassroots local promoters to global headliners and brand takeovers, the venue positions itself as a home for every side of the city's nightlife and gig culture. Advanced lighting and audio systems, a large adaptable floor and a raw, high-intensity atmosphere have quickly made it one of the most talked-about venues in the Midlands. It continues a Birmingham lineage of large music venues that previously traded under names such as the Hummingbird, the Que Club and the O2 Academy. Set among the railway arches, street art and independent venues of Digbeth, just outside the city centre, Forum Digbeth sits at the heart of an area synonymous with Birmingham's creative energy. Its arrival has helped fill the gap left by the loss of the original Forum, keeping large-scale live music and clubbing firmly in the city.
