The Backroom is a speakeasy-style bar, nightclub and event space hidden beneath the railway bridge at the bottom of Call Lane in central Leeds. Set across split-level rooms under the arches, it pairs a prohibition-era theme with late-night clubbing, opening into the early hours at weekends. The venue takes its inspiration from the illicit bars of the American prohibition years, serving classic cocktails with a modern twist in a setting of comfy booth seating and an intimate, low-lit atmosphere.
