Perched 210 metres above Palm Jumeirah, Aura Skypool is billed as the world's highest 360-degree infinity pool, set on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower. Created by Sunset Hospitality and opened in 2020, it was designed as an island in the sky, reached by dedicated lifts that carry guests up to the rooftop level. The centrepiece is a continuous infinity pool that wraps the full way around the building's core, giving unbroken views in every direction as swimmers circle the deck. From the water and the surrounding loungers, the outlook takes in the fronds of Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab, the marina towers and, on clear days, the Burj Khalifa. The design leans on natural materials, with a sculptural rock-like centrepiece, reclaimed wood and greenery softening the high-rise setting. A separate lounge and bar level complements the pool deck, with food and drink served alongside the swimming experience. Access is sold in timed slots, usually booked online in advance, with entry covering a set period, allocated seating and use of the pool. The combination of the height, the panorama and the wrap-around pool has made it one of the more talked-about leisure destinations on the island. Visitors are asked to bring swimwear and are provided with a towel, with changing rooms and lockers on the rooftop level. Sessions run across the day from morning swims to sunset slots, with some times set aside as more family-friendly and others taking on a livelier, party atmosphere. Photography of the panorama is a major draw, and because numbers are capped for each slot, booking ahead is recommended, especially at weekends and around sunset when demand is highest. Its standing as a record-holder and a fixture of Dubai's social scene keeps it among the most photographed rooftop venues in the city.
