Strung high among the trees of Taronga Zoo, Wild Ropes sends climbers swinging, balancing and zipping through the canopy with Sydney Harbour spread out below. It is an aerial adventure course set within one of the city's most famous zoos. The course is built into the treetops near the top entrance of the zoo, on the harbour-side slopes at Mosman. Climbers wear safety harnesses clipped to overhead lines as they make their way around. A series of linked courses offer suspension bridges, climbing walls, swinging logs and flying foxes, growing in height and difficulty. Routes are graded for different ages and levels of nerve. There are gentler courses for younger children and more daring ones for older and braver visitors, so families can take part together. Trained instructors brief and watch over climbers throughout. As they climb, visitors look out over the zoo's enclosures and across the water to the city skyline, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
