Hal C and Holmens Idraetsanlaeg together form the sports centre of Holmen, the former naval base turned cultural quarter on the Copenhagen harbour. The address is Arsenalvej 6 on Christianshavn, and the municipal facility is run by the city's culture and leisure administration. The indoor hall is a classic multi-sport room with handball and hockey goals, volleyball and badminton nets, basketball hoops and a spectator stand, supplemented by a 50-square-metre multi-room used for dance, yoga, martial arts and fitness classes, a first-floor gym with weights and machines, and a bright meeting room seating up to 44 with kitchen access. Outside, Holmens Idraetsanlaeg adds pitches for football and rugby plus running and jumping facilities - it is one of the city's rugby homes. Opening runs on self-service lines, daily 08:00-23:00 indoors and to 22:00 on the outdoor grounds, with courts and rooms booked through the municipal Bookbyen system; the whole complex takes its summer pause through July. The surroundings alone justify the trip: the opera house, the architecture school and Christianshavn's canals are all in walking distance.
