Big Night Live

Boston put chandeliers on a concert hall and bottle service beside the Bruins. Big Night Live opened on Halloween night 2019 at 110 Causeway Street, the anchor tenant of the Hub on Causeway development at the gateway of TD Garden - a 40,000-square-foot luxury music hall from Big Night Entertainment Group in partnership with Live Nation, built to give the arena district a headline room of its own. The Live Hall runs 1,400 standing or 757 seated across 11,500 square feet, dressed unlike any club in the city: oversized red crystal chandeliers, 20-foot wood-panelled walls hung with fine art, and 16-foot red velvet drapes that close over floor-to-ceiling windows or open to the city below. Three LED screens flank the 40-by-25-foot stage, 26 VIP tables with bottle service ring two dance floors, and a pair of private mezzanine skyboxes overlook the room with open balconies. Studio B adds a 440-capacity second space, and Guy Fieri's Tequila Cocina - the Mayor of Flavortown's seated Mexican restaurant - shares the roof. The booking leans DJs, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and pop: Erykah Badu christened the room's first week, and the Loud Luxury and Two Friends tier of dance headliners keeps the weekends sold. The location does the rest - North Station's commuter rail and subway lines arrive underneath the building, the Garden's pre- and post-game crowds flow past the door, and private events fill the calendar's gaps with corporate buyouts that use the concert production as the amenity. Boston nightlife had never quite had a room this deliberately plush; the neighbourhood has adjusted enthusiastically. The Live Nation partnership wires the room into national tour routing while Big Night's hospitality DNA - the group runs a string of Boston restaurants and clubs - handles everything after the encore. Windows behind the stage frame the Zakim Bridge for the skybox crowd, plug-and-play production shortens corporate load-ins to hours, and the venue's dual identity as concert hall and event space keeps the chandeliers lit seven nights in a district that once went dark between Bruins periods.
