San Diego's heavy music headquarters has been holding the line in Bay Park since disco was king. National, regional and local artists share the calendar most nights of the week, with video shoots and private events filling the gaps. The Bay Park location just off Interstate 5 near Mission Bay keeps logistics simple - a small lot, ample street parking and an easy load-in - and keeps the club near enough to everything that the whole county treats it as home turf. Fifty years of continuous live music at one address is rare anywhere; in Southern California it is practically geological.
