Lynn Family Stadium

The best atmosphere in American second-division soccer lives in a former industrial patch of Louisville's Butchertown. Lynn Family Stadium at 350 Adams Street (the club lists 200 Cabel Street for the district) opened on 12 July 2020, its debut delayed from April by the pandemic and played before a distanced crowd of 4,850 on national ESPN2 - Louisville City FC hosting the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in a rematch of a playoff classic. Ground had broken in June 2018 on the 65-million-dollar, HOK-designed project, upsized mid-plan from 10,000 seats to today's configuration as the club's popularity kept outrunning the drawings. The stadium holds 15,304 with 11,600 fixed seats, 18 luxury suites, a 250-seat Premier Club, loge boxes and ledge tables, and safe-standing ends behind each goal - the rowdiest of them named the Estopinal End for founding owner Wayne Estopinal, the architect who launched the club in 2014 and died in 2018 before his stadium opened. Stands enclose three sides while the open west end frames the downtown bridges over the Ohio River behind a 40-by-72-foot videoboard; the design allows expansion to 20,000 should MLS ever call. The tenants make it the busiest soccer ground in the region: LouCity - back-to-back USL champions in 2017 and 2018 and perennially the division's best-supported club - was joined in 2021 by Racing Louisville FC of the NWSL, making Louisville one of the few American cities with top-flight women's and championship-level men's soccer sharing one purpose-built home, and the UFL's Louisville Kings added spring football in 2026. Concerts, international friendlies and community events fill summer gaps. The stadium anchors a planned Butchertown district of commercial development just east of downtown, with the club's training centre two miles away at Champions Park - a full soccer ecosystem built in under a decade, in a bourbon-and-baseball town that turned purple.
