The Truth

Three chords and the truth - Harlan Howard's famous definition of a country song - gives Nashville's newest big room its name. The Truth is a 4,400-capacity live music venue at 500 Chestnut Street in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, opening in the fall of 2026 as the anchor of the Wedgewood Village development. The project pairs Live Nation with AJ Capital Partners, the Nashville-based real estate and hospitality firm behind Wedgewood Village - an 18-acre mixed-use district that already counts Soho House, Apple Music's studios and the restaurant Pastis among its neighbors. The building is a three-story music hall with balcony seating over a general-admission floor, a mezzanine whiskey bar named Harlan's in the songwriter's honor, and an open-air terrace off the main room. The Vinyl Room adds a second, intimate space: a two-story indoor-outdoor lounge with a chef-driven menu and DJ-spun vinyl curated by United Record Pressing, the storied Nashville pressing plant - equal parts listening bar and private-event room. The touches aim at music-city credibility: a Setlist Studio will letterpress each night's setlist for fans on the way out, and the venue's stated brief is global headliners and hometown heroes on the same stage. The market logic is scale: Nashville's boom left a gap between Ryman-sized theaters and Bridgestone Arena, and a 4,400-cap room in a creative-industry neighborhood gives Live Nation a stop for tours that outgrow the Ryman but cannot fill 17,000 seats. The grand-opening season lineup began announcing in 2026, positioning The Truth to write the next chapter of a neighborhood that has already become Nashville's art-and-industry quarter. The venue also stakes a cultural claim: Wedgewood-Houston's galleries, studios and music-industry offices have made it Nashville's creative quarter, and planting a headline stage beside United Record Pressing's vinyl legacy ties the new room to the city's manufacturing-era music history even as it books the streaming era's biggest names.
