Warehouse Live Midtown

The name carries Prince, Adele and Drake on its resume; the building carries a retractable roof. Warehouse Live Midtown, at 2600 Travis Street in Houston's Midtown, is the second life of one of Texas's most storied club brands. The original Warehouse Live opened in East Downtown in 2006 and spent nearly two decades as Houston's essential mid-size room, hosting Prince, Panic! at the Disco, ZZ Top, Drake, Adele, Chris Stapleton, Travis Scott, Pink and SZA before the brand moved west. The Midtown home began as Rise Rooftop, a nightlife spot opened on New Year's Eve 2021 that drew Snoop Dogg and Kane Brown; in December 2023 the space was rebuilt and rebranded as Warehouse Live Midtown, an independently owned venue with new sound, lighting and lounge areas. The 15,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor layout is the signature - a retractable roof opens the room to the skyline while sheltering the floor when Houston weather argues - with capacity around 1,200 for standing shows and 300 to 600 for seated formats. The stage comes turnkey: house audio, a large video wall, VIP sections, balcony seating and private bars, serving a calendar that mixes touring hip hop, Latin, rock and electronic acts with private events and corporate bookings. The location works the walkable Midtown bar district a stroll from downtown, catching both destination concertgoers and the neighborhood's night traffic - a different ecosystem from the old EaDo warehouse, and a deliberately more polished one. The brand's bet is continuity: same booking relationships, same place in the market between the clubs and the theaters, new address - Houston's mid-size live music institution, relocated rather than retired. The independent ownership matters in a market consolidating fast: Houston's promoters get a room that books on merit rather than routing contracts, and the brand's two-decade artist relationships give Midtown a shot at the kind of surprise underplay the old warehouse was famous for.
