Humphrey Metrodome, the Minnesota Twins returned to outdoor baseball on April 12, 2010, with the opening of Target Field at 1 Twins Way in downtown Minneapolis. The 555-million-dollar open-air ballpark, designed by Populous and built by Mortenson/Thor, seats 38,544 for baseball across a two-deck grandstand that prioritises intimacy and skyline views over raw capacity. The Minnie and Paul sign, a nod to the club's mascots representing the Twin Cities, animates with a handshake after every Twins home run. Parking is available in nearby downtown ramps, and the park's direct light-rail connection makes it one of the easiest MLB stadiums to reach without a car.
