Founded by the Manuel family in 2006, London Music Hall has grown over two decades into one of Canada's busiest and most recognized live music venues. The concert hall at 178 Dundas Street in downtown London, Ontario occupies a 17,000-square-foot space in a building that was once home to the first Zellers store in Canada, converting commercial retail heritage into a music destination that has hosted internationally acclaimed artists and emerging talent alike. A $1.5 million renovation in 2013 more than doubled the main hall's capacity from 850 to 2,000, adding three private boxes and a mezzanine that can be curtained off for smaller shows of around 500 on the main floor. A further $1.2 million renovation launched in early 2025 ahead of the venue's 20th anniversary is adding a new lobby entrance off Dundas Street, expanding the main hall to a full 2,000-person capacity, and introducing Comedy and Co., a pop-up comedy club seating approximately 100 in the lobby space on non-concert nights. The complex also includes Rum Runners, a separate 400-capacity upstairs venue that books its own calendar of shows independent of the main hall. Together the two rooms give the building flexibility to program multiple events simultaneously and serve audiences of varying sizes. Programming spans genres from rock and country to hip-hop, electronic, and comedy. The venue's economic impact on downtown London is significant: a sellout of 1,600 tickets brings that many people into the city core on a given night, supporting surrounding restaurants, bars, and parking operations. The 20th Anniversary Concert Series, running from September through December 2025, celebrates two decades of live music with special performances and exclusive events curated to honor the venue's history.
