A 15,500-seat multi-purpose indoor arena in the West Haymarket District of Lincoln, Nebraska, Pinnacle Bank Arena opened on August 16, 2013 and replaced the Bob Devaney Sports Center as the home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers men's and women's basketball teams. Known as "The Vault," the 470,400-square-foot venue was designed by DLR Group, BVH, and Clark Enersen Partners and built by Hampton Construction and Mortenson Construction at a project cost of $328 million. Seating capacity varies by configuration: 15,500 for basketball, 15,290 for volleyball, 14,660 for boxing, 12,700 for ice hockey, and up to 16,130 for center-stage concerts. The record attendance of 15,998 was set on March 9, 2014. The arena features 73 concession points of sale, a private Club Lounge, Stonebrook Exterior Premium Level Suites, and Loge Boxes between the 100 and 200 levels. Michael Buble played the first concert on September 13, 2013. Since then, the venue has hosted Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Elton John, Metallica, the Eagles, and Taylor Swift, among many others. Eric Church drew a crowd of 15,823 on May 20, 2015 -- the highest non-basketball attendance -- and a George Strait concert on April 23, 2022 set an arena revenue record with $3.1 million in gross sales. The arena also annually hosts Nebraska School Activities Association state basketball tournaments.
