The Singletary Center for the Arts is a performing arts venue on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, located at 405 Rose Street. The centre houses the 1,500-seat Concert Hall, a recital hall, art gallery, and rehearsal spaces, serving as the primary performance venue for the university's College of Fine Arts and the broader Lexington arts community. The Concert Hall is home to performances by the Lexington Philharmonic, University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, and various faculty and student ensembles. Named after Otis A. Singletary, who served as president of the University of Kentucky from 1969 to 1990, the centre was designed to provide both acoustically excellent performance space and a gathering place for the university and its surrounding community. The venue hosts touring artists, guest lectures, film screenings, and special events throughout the academic year. Its location on the UK campus places it within walking distance of other campus cultural resources and Lexington's downtown entertainment district. The Singletary Center plays an important role in Lexington's identity as a city with a strong commitment to the performing arts, complementing the nearby Rupp Arena and Lexington Opera House.
