U.S. Bank Stadium is a 66,200-seat multi-purpose stadium at 401 Chicago Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, expandable to 73,000 for major events. The 1.129-billion-dollar facility, designed by HKS Architects and built by Mortenson Construction, opened on July 22, 2016, replacing the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The stadium is home to the NFL's Minnesota Vikings and features a distinctive angular facade inspired by Nordic architecture, a translucent ETFE roof that floods the interior with natural light, and 131 executive suites with 8,900 business seats. The arena spans approximately 1.75 million square feet and required more than 100,000 cubic yards of concrete and over four million worker-hours to construct. U.S. Bank Stadium hosted Super Bowl LII in February 2018 and the 2019 NCAA Men's Final Four, which set the all-time attendance record of 72,711. The venue also hosts concerts, soccer matches, and special events, and is served by the Blue and Green light-rail lines at U.S. Bank Stadium station.
