Rising 98 metres above Paris's Left Bank in the 15th arrondissement, this 30-storey residential tower was completed in 1979 as part of the Front de Seine development, an ambitious 1970s urban project that placed roughly twenty high-rises around an elevated pedestrian esplanade south of the Eiffel Tower. Designed by architect Michel Proux, it is the only tower in the district where every one of its 192 apartments has a private balcony. Also known by its construction code name Tour H15, the building underwent a full facade rehabilitation between 2013 and 2017, led by Atelier Tequi Architectes. The renovation introduced improved thermal insulation, modernised the entrance halls, and reshaped the exterior into a composition of differentiated volumes and tones. A distinctive white sphere at the rooftop formerly served as signage for the adjacent Beaugrenelle shopping centre and is now disused. The tower sits at 26 Rue Linois, integrated into the broader Centre Commercial Beaugrenelle which reopened in 2013 as a modern retail complex. Its elevated position within the Front de Seine makes it a recognisable element of the Parisian skyline when viewed from the river or from the upper floors of the Eiffel Tower. The tower's ground-level commercial centre draws neighbourhood residents for everyday shopping, while the observation deck on the upper floors provides panoramic views across the Seine toward the Eiffel Tower and the city skyline. The combination of retail, residential, and office functions within a single structure reflects the mixed-use urban planning principles that defined Parisian development in this era. Public transport access includes the Bir-Hakeim Metro station on Line 6 and the Javel-Andre Citroen RER C station. Designed as part of the Front de Seine redevelopment programme that transformed former industrial land along the Left Bank into a modernist residential and commercial district, the tower represented a deliberate break from the Haussmannian low-rise tradition of central Paris.
