The Presidential Palace of the United Arab Emirates, opened to public visitors in March 2019, presenting the architecture, craftsmanship, and governance traditions of the nation through guided access to ceremonial halls, libraries, exhibition galleries, and landscaped gardens within one of the world's largest and most recently completed palace complexes. The building's white granite exterior, inspired by traditional Islamic geometric patterns, spans an area exceeding the Palace of Versailles. The Great Hall, rising to a dome 37 metres above the floor and decorated with over 350,000 hand-cut crystal pieces, provides the centrepiece visitor experience -- a space of intentional awe designed to communicate the authority and cultural aspiration of the UAE state. Adjacent halls present collections of gifts received by the nation's leadership from foreign dignitaries, historical documents and treaties, and exhibitions exploring the intellectual traditions of the Arab world. The House of Knowledge, a dedicated library wing within the palace complex, holds volumes on governance, poetry, science, and Islamic jurisprudence, presented both as a working research facility and as an exhibition celebrating the written word in Arab civilisation. Digital interactive installations allow visitors to explore illuminated manuscripts and historical texts that cannot be physically handled. An evening light-and-sound show, Palace in Motion, projects animated imagery across the palace facade, transforming the 500-metre-wide building into the world's largest projection screen. The palace complex occupies a commanding position on Abu Dhabi's waterfront, visible from the Corniche promenade. Visitor access requires advance booking, with guided tours operating in multiple languages throughout the day.
