Ideal Clube de Fado opened its current premises on 22 July 2022 in a converted ground floor space on Rua do Ateneu Comercial in the Baixa of Porto. The project was founded by fadista Ana Carvalho in 2019 as a daily concert series at the Galeria de Paris restaurant and bar, with the move to the Ateneu Comercial space marking its conversion from a programming series into a dedicated venue with its own stage and its own bar.
