Crowned by an iconic gold-anodized aluminum geodesic dome comprising 500 interlocking panels, the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts at 100 South Virginia Street in downtown Reno, Nevada opened in January 1968 as the Pioneer Theater-Auditorium.
