Backstage Bar & Billiards

DJ Lethal's record collection has a bar built around it. Backstage Bar and Billiards - Triple B to downtown Las Vegas - sits at 601 East Fremont Street in the Fremont East Entertainment District, co-owned by nightlife impresario Carlos Big Daddy Adley and DJ Lethal of House of Pain and Limp Bizkit. The name is literal: the bar occupies the space directly backstage of the adjoining Fremont Country Club, the 1,000-capacity showroom under the same roof, and doubles as its green-room-with-a-liquor-l.....

Boulder Station Casino

The locals casino that out-booked the Strip at country music. Boulder Station opened on 23 August 1994 on Boulder Highway in Sunrise Manor, the first new hotel-casino on the east side of Las Vegas since 1979 and the second property in the Station Casinos empire that Frank Fertitta Jr. built for residents rather than tourists. The 103-million-dollar, Victorian-styled resort carried the family's railroad theme - stained-glass murals of nineteenth-century trains over the table games - around 300 ho.....

Downtown Container Park

In the rapidly redeveloping Fremont East district of downtown Las Vegas, the Downtown Container Park is an outdoor entertainment complex built almost entirely from recycled shipping containers and modular Xtreme cubes. The project opened in November 2013 as a flagship initiative of the Downtown Project, an ambitious revitalisation effort funded by Zappos founder Tony Hsieh that sought to inject creative energy, small business and community life into a then-neglected corner of the old downtown. .....

Fontainebleau at LIV Las Vegas

The resort took sixteen years to open; the nightclub needed one phone call. When Jeffrey Soffer reclaimed the long-stalled Fontainebleau Las Vegas project, he called David Grutman - whose LIV in Miami Beach had spent a decade among the world's highest-grossing clubs - and told him not to sign with any other Strip resort. LIV Las Vegas opened with the 3.7-billion-dollar resort at 2777 South Las Vegas Boulevard on 13 December 2023. The design brief was a stadium: David Rockwell's team built the r.....

Fremont Street Experience

In the historic original downtown of Las Vegas, the Fremont Street Experience is the spectacular pedestrian mall that has redefined the city's original casino strip. The five-block stretch of Fremont Street between Main and Fourth, the heart of Las Vegas's pre-1950s casino scene and the famous backdrop of the glittering neon "Glitter Gulch" of the post-war boom, was transformed in late 1995 by an audacious project that covered the entire street with an enormous canopy, raised it as a pedestrian-.....

LA Comedy Club

The club that gave Aziz Ansari early Las Vegas stage time spent a decade wandering the Strip before finding a home in a room called the Dragon. The LA Comedy Club, resident in the Dragon Room at The STRAT Hotel, Casino and Tower at 2000 South Las Vegas Boulevard, is the city's serial Best of Las Vegas comedy winner and its most reliable launchpad for rising stand-ups. Three partners - Joaquin Trujillo, Matt Chavez and Ezra Wohlgemuth - founded the club in 2007 with two goals: grow Vegas enterta.....

Las Vegas Natural History Museum

Just north of the famous Strip in the Cultural Corridor of downtown Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum is the principal natural-history institution of southern Nevada. The museum was founded in 1991 by the marine biologist Walter Naumann together with a small group of local scientists and educators who saw the need for a dedicated natural-history facility in a rapidly growing region. The museum occupies a 36,000-square-foot purpose-built facility, with several major galleries and an.....

LIV Beach at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Occupying 35,000 square feet on the third-floor roof deck of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, LIV Beach is a daylife destination that launched in spring 2024 as part of the $3.7 billion resort's grand opening. Operated by Groot Hospitality -- the same team behind the flagship LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach -- the pool party draws inspiration from the French Riviera and shares a unified stage with its nightclub counterpart, giving guests access to headline DJ talent from daytime through the early morni.....
